Be a Part of Something Special—Join Us!

We are excited to share that, this year, we will be taking on the role of country leads for New Zealand! It’s a wonderful opportunity to represent New Zealand in Global Intergenerational Week and highlight the amazing intergenerational initiatives happening here.

We’re also very excited to be working closely with the Australian Institute of Intergenerational Practice (AIIP) in Australia to bring some fantastic events together during the week. To kick things off, we’ll be hosting a joint launch event with Australia on February 4th—stay tuned for more details and make sure to join us to learn about the week and how you can get involved.

This annual global event is all about inspiring everyone to embrace intergenerational connections by raising awareness and bringing different generations together in intentional, mutually beneficial activities. Generations Working Together are the global leads for the week, and you can learn more about its history and what’s being planned around the world by visiting their website.

At Generations Connect NZ, we’re excited about the daily themes (refer below) and are working on creating uniquely Kiwi-themed activities for everyone to enjoy. There will be a variety of activities and events to get involved in both before and during the week, and we’d love for as many people as possible to participate!
